    Edgerton: HOME ALONE SAFETY CLASS
EDGERTON HOSPITAL OFFERS HOME ALONE SAFETY CLASS Edgerton Hospital and Health Services will offer a Home Alone Safety class on Saturday, March 13, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the hospital. This Home Alone Safety course is offered for children ages nine and older and will cost $20 to attend. Lunch is included in the cost, and parents are asked to drop off and pick up their children according to the scheduled times. Because class size is limited, we ask that you register by calling 608-884-1609, or online at www.edgertonhospital.com. The Home Alone Safety class is designed for children ages nine years and older who may be home for a short period of time without an adult. The course will provide the children with the resources they will need to feel more confident and comfortable during the times when they are home alone. Topics covered will include injury prevention, basic first-aid, fire safety, stranger danger and healthy snack ideas. While it is Edgerton Hospital’s goal to educate children on home alone safety, parents/guardians should always assume responsibility for deeming what is appropriate for their child, as not every child may be ready for the responsibilities that come along with staying home alone. #### Edgerton Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital. The hospital serves the communities of Edgerton, Milton and surrounding communities. Founded in 1923, the facility offers inpatient, outpatient, surgical, diagnostic, emergency, urgent care and rehabilitation services. It is a limited affiliate of SSM Health Care of Wisconsin.
